Amelia M. Hosch

I wrote my first short story when I was 8, and my first poem was published when I was 11. I continued to have poetry included in anthologies until around 16 or so.  Life got busy. I graduated and started working, and there wasn't much time for writing.

I chased mathematics into college, wanting to find a stable teaching job.  I did. It's been fantastic to work with kids of all ages. Acquiring an English Degree was nowhere on my radar. Writing was something I chose not to do anymore.

 

In 2016, I returned to writing after that long hiatus in order to deal with some trauma and feelings I was having. I was only going to write one book, but things didn't pan out that way.  Now, I have several series I'm working on, poetry flowing out of my ears, and more ideas flooding my brain every day.

I live in Arkansas with my husband, two dogs, and the local transient feline community. When I am not glued to a novel in progress, she enjoys visiting the lake with her dog, photography, and studying languages.
